Roth's Fresh Markets

Orville Roth opened his first store in Silverton in August of 1962. Although at first considered something of a city operator in that community, Roth's unique brand of customer service, cleanliness, product quality, and community involvement made possible the opening of Roth's first store in Salem only three years later. Expansion continued throughout the 70's, 80's and 90's, and there are now 11 Roth's Family Markets throughout the Willamette Valley.

Roth's commitment to their employees is evidenced in part by the 300 high school students from the local communities who make up the Roth's courtesy clerk staff. For 40 years, a great number of these young people have used the money earned at Roth's to continue their educations. Orville's love for what he does helps inspire Roth's 1,200 employees - many of whom have been with the organization throughout their working careers. The loyalty of these long-time employees is unique in the industry.
